Jackson, of Germantown, Tenn., won the first hole of the day in the final 36-hole match and never looked back, going 2-up through the end of the first 18 holes.
Zahringer made it interesting down the stretch, however.
Three-down with three holes to play, the 48-year-old from New York won the 16th with a par and then birdied No. 17 to climb to within one hole.
It was just a bit too late, however.
Each man birdied the finishing 555-yard par-5 18th and Jackson won 1-up.
This isnt Jacksons first title at this event, however.
At 42, he has now won two Mens Mid-Amateur championships. His first came in 1994.
