Jenkins Answers Call in Canada


Tom Jenkins will defend his title at the $1.6 million AT&T Canada Senior Open Championship in Mississaugua, Ontario.
Jenkins sank a 10-foot birdie putt on the final hole to earn his second career Senior PGA Tour victory.
The triumph came one month after Jenkins became a father again at the age of 52.
The Canada Senior Open dates back to 1981. However, the event was not contested from 1986 to 1995.
This years tournament will be played at the Mississaugua Golf & Country Club outside of Toronto. Jenkins captured last year's title at the St. Charles Country Club in Winnipeg.
Ed Dougherty, Allen Doyle, Bruce Fleisher, Bob Gilder, Hale Irwin, Tom Kite, Dana Quigley and Bobby Wadkins are scheduled to compete for the $240,000 first-place prize.
