Kuehne Holds Diabetes Charity

LPGA player Kelli Kuehne's 'Teeing It Up to Cure Diabetes' charity tournament has gone over $1 million in only its fourth year, making it the largest fund-raiser among more than 50 events in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
The tournament was held Monday in McKinney, Tx. More than 85 cents out of every dollar raised at the tournament goes towards diabetes research.
Kuehne was diagnosed with diabetes when she was 10 years old. She is the national spokeswoman for the foundation and is on the board of the Dallas chapter. She checks her blood sugar level as often as 10 times a day.
