Langer Els Put Back Woes on Back Burner

Ernie Els and Bernhard Langer seem much improved over last week when back problems interrupted their Scottish Open plans.
Both have gotten in full practice rounds for the British Open at Royal Lytham. Last week Els was forced to miss the Scottish. Langer had to withdraw after 36 holes. His back problems were so severe that he had to stop every hour on his journey from Glasgow.
Both have gone around the course Tuesday and Wednesday with a minimun of pain, though Langer isn't certain he will be able to play all four rounds. Els is getting much better.
'I'm still feeling the back low down, but I played without any pain,' said Els. 'Even better, I was hitting the ball really well out there.'
