Lietzke Looks for Better in Sophomore Start

Bruce Lietzke will try to overcome a disappointing Senior PGA Tour debut at this weeks State Farm Senior Classic.
Lietzke shot rounds of 74-65-74 to finish outside the top-20 in the SBC Senior Open.
Leonard Thompson is the defending champion. He made a two'foot birdie putt on the second playoff hole to ruin a sensational comeback by Isao Aoki.
Aoki made up three shots over the final four holes to force the playoff. But after the Japanese stalwart missed a 15-foot birdie putt on the second extra hole, Thompson calmly rolled in his two-footer for his second career tour victory.
This years purse is $1.45 million, with $217,500 going to the winner.
Ford Senior Players champion Allen Doyle, U.S. Senior Open winner Bruce Fleisher, Tradition winner Doug Tewell and Tom Kite are scheduled to compete.
After three years at Hobbits Glen, the tournament has moved to Hayfields Country Club in Hunt Valley, Mary.
