College CentralThe 13th-ranked University of Minnesota mens golf team came back from seven strokes back beginning the third round to win the Cleveland Golf/Augusta State Invitational. The Gophers shot rounds of 282-285-287=861 (-3) to defeat Duke by four shots and second-round leader UCLA by five strokes.
 
Its the fourth tournament title for the Golden Gophers this season and the first of the spring season.

Freshman Bronson LaCassie fired a third round 69 and set a new career-high finish tying for fifth at 5-under 211. Senior David Morgan carded a 1-under 215 and tied for eighth. Junior Ben Greve tied for 12th (new career high) at 1-over 217 after a 73 Sunday. Justin Smith finished tied for 28th at 5-over 221. Freshman Clayton Rask set a new career high tying for 37th at 6-over 222.
