'I think it's really neat to be a part of the change now and to see the ball rolling,' said Woods, in Birmingham, Ala., Sunday to give youth clinic.
'I know that access into facilities for kids and people of different ethnic backgrounds and religious choices hasn't always been open,' he said. 'But that's changing with days like today with junior golf programs like you have here in Birmingham.'
Woods gave personal golfing tips to 25 Birmingham junior golfers and then hit balls during the exhibition. The event was by invitation only.
