Montgomerie Turns Back On Bay Hill

Colin Montgomerie will not play at Bay Hill next week, despite the fact that he had entered the tournament.
Host Arnold Palmer revealed the news on The Golf Channel's Golf Talk Live Monday.
Montgomerie gave no reason for canceling his plans. He plans to return to the States from the London area for The Players Championship the week after Bay Hill.
He originally said he was canceling all U.S. appearances after he was defeated in the first round of the World Golf Championships - Accenture Match Play Championship. He cited as a reason the heckling he had received. He later relented, saying he would return for The Players.
It is not known if Montgomerie's withdrawal from Bay Hill is a result of that heckling incident.
