The 37-year-old pulled out of the English Open on Friday citing pain in his lower back, and immediately traveled to London, where he received several back treatments.
By Sunday, the big Scot was back on the range and, according to his manager Guy Kinnings, feeling much better.
We are very happy with how the treatment and the rest has gone, Kinnings told the Associated Press. All arrangements are in place for him to fly out (to the States) tomorrow.
Montgomerie will once again be searching for his first major championship this week. He has finished second on two occasions at the United States Open, and third on another. However, in the last three years, he has failed to crack the top-18.
