Monty Reportedly Not Coming to US After This Year

Colin Montgomerie may not play anymore in the U.S. after fulfilling his commitments this year, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Scotsman Montgomerie was heckled on the 12th hole after missing a putt at the Accenture Match Play Championship. It was the latest in a long line of heckling incidents through a number of years.
Ill be 39 in June. I just dont need this anymore, the Times reported Montgomerie as saying.
Without turning around, I knew I could accurately predict the appearance of these kinds of fans ' shorts, tennis shoes, T-shirt, cap on backward, holding a beer. I was correct.
Scott McCarron, who defeated Montgomerie in the match, disagreed that heckling was a problem. There was only one guy who stifled a yell when Colin missed his putt on the 12th. And that was it, he said.
Montgomerie flew to his home in London Thursday. He said he will probably return to the U.S. to play Bay Hill.
I went to school in this country (at Houston Baptist University) and I have traveled here extensively, he said. But it continues to happen. At this point, Im at the edge. There is no level playing field. I simply dont have the desire to deal with it any longer.
