Nationwide Heads North for Canadian PGA

Nationwide TourThe Canadian PGA Championship was first staged in 1912 and is Canada`s second oldest event. The tournament will stay on as an event on the Nationwide Tour through 2006.
Bill Haas, who finished runner-up to Jason Gore at last week's Scholarship America Showdown, is in the field and looking for his first Nationwide Tour title. The 23-year-old Wake Forest graduate and son of PGA Tour star Jay, has made the cut in nine of the 11 events he has entered, including five top-25s.
The torphy will be up for grabs in Canada as the top three on the money list - Chris Couch, Troy Matteson and Gore - have chosen not to tee it up.
After three straight years at DiamondBack Golf Club, the tournament moved to Whistle Bear Golf Club last year.
Next week is the Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open, which Bradley Hughes won in 2004.
Last year, Charles Warren blew away the field by seven en route to victory.
