The United States Golf Association announced a three-year agreement with Westwood One/CBS Radio Sports for the exclusive radio play-by-play provider for five USGA championships. The agreement covers the U.S. Open, Women's Open, Senior Open, U.S. Amateur and Women's Amateur all through 2003.

The new contract gives Westwood One/CBS Radio Sports exclusive on-course radio rights, live play-by-play and one-on-one player interviews from the golf course.

'Westwood One is very excited about our partnership with the USGA,' said Joel Hollander, Westwood One's president. 'The USGA represents the best golf has to offer.'

'We're very pleased that Westwood One, with its extensive reach, will now be able to share the excitement and stories of our national championships to radio stations and listeners across the country,' said David Fay, USGA executive director.

Westwood One/CBS Radio Sports has broadcast the U.S. Open for over 20 years.
