Nine More Players Exempt into US Open

Frank Lickliter's win at the Kemper Insurance Open not only got him a two-year exemption on the PGA Tour, it got him into this year's U.S. Open.
The win placed Lickliter in the top-10 on the PGA Tour money list through May 27, which made him automatically exempt to play at Southern Hills.
Eight more players receieved exemptions into the event by finishing in the top 50 in the World Rankings through May 28. Sergio Garcia, Scott Hoch, Toshi Izawa, Bernhard Langer, Rocco Mediate, Dennis Paulson, Eduardo Romero and Duffy Waldorf will all be eligible to tee it up for the year's second major.
The other active exemption category that closed on May 28 was the top-two players on this year's European Tour Order of Merit. The duo on top of that list, Angel Cabrera and Michael Campbell, are already exempt through other categories.
The U.S. open will take place June 14-17 in Tulsa, Okla.
