Norman has been rehabilitating his right knee follow a second surgery in February that repaired damage to the meniscus. He was recently given clearance to resume practicing.
My knee is fine, Norman said in a press release. My game just isnt where I want it to be, and the last thing I want to do is take a spot away from another deserving professional.
Now I can focus on my game and get ready to play some tournaments later this summer.'
Norman made his Champions Tour debut a year ago in the Senior British Open, where he finished third. He then finished fourth the following week in the U.S. Senior Open.
According to the press release, the two-time Open Championship winner will likely make his return at the TELUS Skins Game, which will be played August 7-8 at The Fairmont Banff Springs in Calgary, Alberta.
