Norman to Skip Series of Major Events

Greg Norman will skip a series of major tournaments this summer on both the PGA and Champions tours. Norman announced Friday that he will skip the U.S. Senior Open, the Open Championship and the Senior British Open.
Norman has been rehabilitating his right knee follow a second surgery in February that repaired damage to the meniscus. He was recently given clearance to resume practicing.
My knee is fine, Norman said in a press release. My game just isnt where I want it to be, and the last thing I want to do is take a spot away from another deserving professional.
Now I can focus on my game and get ready to play some tournaments later this summer.'
Norman made his Champions Tour debut a year ago in the Senior British Open, where he finished third. He then finished fourth the following week in the U.S. Senior Open.
According to the press release, the two-time Open Championship winner will likely make his return at the TELUS Skins Game, which will be played August 7-8 at The Fairmont Banff Springs in Calgary, Alberta.
