Open Contenders Head to the Netherlands

As the excitement from last weeks Open Championship slowly winds down, the European Tour marches into the Netherlands this week for the TNT Dutch Open.
While Lee Westwood is the defending champion, he has not shown the same form which carried him to five titles in 2000.
Westwood has only recorded two top-10 finishes in 11 events this year and has missed four cuts.
At last weeks Open Championship, he finished in a tie for 47th.
While the big Englishmans game is currently in a state of uncertainty, many others from the tour will be traversing upon the Noordwijkse Golf Course in fine form.
Ernie Els, Bernhard Langer, Miguel Angel Jiminez and Darren Clarke are all scheduled to play this week.
Each finished in a tie for third at Royal Lytham at 6-under, four shots behind eventual champion David Duval.
While Niclas Fasth, Ian Woosnam and Colin Montgomerie will not be teeing it up, Langer and Co. represented the strongest European contingent to challenge Duval in the final round.
They will be competing this week for a total purse of 1,600,000 euro, 300,000 of which will go to the champion.
With the Ryder Cup looming just around the corner, players will be putting forth everything they have to try and secure their spots.
You can catch full-tournament action from the TNT Dutch Open this week only on The Golf Channel beginning Thursday.
