Palmer, who is a native of Latrobe, Penn. and a co-designer of Laurel Valley, has only played in the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, Bay Hill Invitational and Masters Tournaments this year.
Said tournament director Joe Rotellini of the news: We are thrilled and honored Arnold Palmer has added the Marconi Pennsylvania Classic to his schedule. It will be a wonderful homecoming for him to play in front of his Pennsylvania neighbors and fans.
Palmer has won 60 titles on the PGA Tour during the course of his career, which ranks fourth on the all-time list. He has also won eight major championships and is a four-time Vardon Trophy winner.
