Pebble Beach to Host US Open in 2010

USGAPebble Beach Golf Links has been selected to host the 2010 U.S. Open. Additionally, the Pebble Beach Company has offered to host an undetermined future U.S. Womens Open on the famed course.
 
Opened in 1918 and designed by Jack Neville and Douglas Grant, Pebble Beach has been host to 10 previous USGA championships, including four previous U.S. Opens. Each of those Opens was won by one of the games great players ' Jack Nicklaus in 1972, Tom Watson in 1982, Tom Kite in 1992, and Tiger Woods in 2000. Additionally, Pebble Beach is the home of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, a PGA Tour event, each February.

Prior to 2010, the Open will be played from June 16-19, 2005, at Pinehurst Resort and Country Club (No. 2 Course) from June 15-18, 2006, at Winged Foot Golf Club from June 14-17, 2007, at Oakmont Country Club from June 12-15, 2008, at Torrey Pines Golf Course and from June 18-21, 2009, at Bethpage State Park (Black Course).
