I am really excited right now, exclaimed Perrot. It was a difficult week, but I played really well all week. My irons and putting were the key this week.
Possibly her driver too ' Perrot hit all 13 fairways in her final match with Welch.
In fact, so good was her overall game, that in the last 26 holes she played (between the final match and the semifinals), Perrot made an astounding 10 birdies.
Im really happy, she admitted.
Unfortunately for Welch, the tournament was not to be hers this year.
I thought that I went out there and did what I planned to do, claimed the 17-year-old from Las Vegas, Nev. I stuck to my game plan and it didnt work out. I went out there and tried to hit fairways and greens, and tried to make the putts drop. I tried to do that on every hole.
