PGA Tour Vice President Passes Away


PGA Tour (75x100)High-ranking PGA Tour spokesman John Morris passed away at the John Hopkins Hospital this last Tuesday.
Morris, 60, died of congestive heart failure while waiting for a heart transplant. According to the Tour, he passed quietly, with his wife and two children by his side.
Morris joined the the PGA Tour in 1992 as the Vice President of Communications, after having spent some nine years with the United States Golf Association.
Prior to that, he was the Sports Information Director at Penn State University, and also the University of Delaware.
Services were held at the Slatesville Presbyterian Church in Pennsylvania.
