Players Want Investigation of European Tour

Approximately 50 of the European Tour players are asking that they be allowed to have an independent audit of the European Tour's financial records.
Colin Montgomerie is the only big name to refuse to demand the accounting into the Tour's books the past 20 years. The demand follows an original letter signed by Nick Faldo, Seve Ballesteros, Bernhard Langer and Jose Maria Olazabal, who were told they needed more signatures.
The players' issues include the level of staffing by the Tour, the distribution of the Ryder Cup revenue, the fact that the European Tour has too much of a 'British' look, and the purses played for European golfers when the U.S. tour pays much more.
