Chad Campbell headlines an impressive field, including former PGA Tour players Chip Beck, Kelly Gibson, Scott Gump and Jim McGovern, and rising stars Tim ONeal and Jonathan Byrd.
Campbell won two weeks ago at the Permian Basin Open, when he shot a final round 69 to claim the title by four shots. The victory was his second of the season, and now has him looking at the possibility of a Battlefield Promotion should he champion one more time.
Willow Creek is a par-72 layout which plays to 7,104 yards. Last year, Andrew Morse won upon its grounds, going around the track in 19-under-par for four days.
It is getting to the point in the season where players will start getting serious about the money list. With just a handful of events left, players will be jockeying down the stretch for as much money as possible.
The top-15 on the list at the end of the season will be granted exemption onto the PGA Tour for 2002.
Currently, Campbell is on top of the list with over $263,000, while Deanne Pappas is behind him at nearly $203,000.
This weeks purse offers a total of $425,000, with $76,500 of that going to the winner.
