A Possible Battle of the Titans

Recent talks of a modern-day Battle of the Sexes tournament are continuing as both the PGA and LPGA Tours enter their summer schedules, but now the focus seems to be expanding from two players to four.
Instead of a Tiger Woods vs. Annika Sorenstam matchup, the latest propositions have Woods and Sorenstam taking on David Duval and Karrie Webb.
While no official word has been passed, the general concensus seems to be of a positive nature towards the proposed event.
To have two of the LPGAs best players on TV in prime time would boost our tour, LPGA Tour Commissioner Ty Votaw recently told USA Today. But there are concerns about travel fitting it into our schedule.
The early word has such an event being contested sometime around July 30, possibly at Big Horn in Palm Desert, Calif., which was the site of last seasons Battle at Bighorn featuring Woods vs. Sergio Garcia.
