Rollins Edges Pampling in Playoff


John Rollins became the eighth first-time winner of the season when he rolled in a birdie putt on the first extra hole to defeat Rod Pampling at the $425,000 Buy.Com Hershey Open.

Rollins (69) and Pampling (64) finished regulation on the Country Club of Hersheys East Course at 11-under-par 273 forcing the first playoff on the tour in 23 events.
Its a great feeling, said the 26-year-old Rollins, who earned $76,500. Its something that I have been working for and hoping for for a long time.
Kelly Grunewald (67) tied Brad Klapprott (68) for third place at 9-under. Overnight leader Jay Hobby (74) finished in a tie for fifth with Steve Haskins (68) and David Gossett (68).
