RSS

European TourJustin Rose, who had a breakout season last year, returns to the site of one of his four worldwide wins for this week's Daily Telegraph Damovo British Masters at the Marriott Forest of Arden in Warwickshire, England.

Rose will do battle with this past week's winner Ian Poulter, who coincidently was the man Rose held off in a great duel for the title in 2002.

The Marriott Forest of Arden played host to the English Open for seven years, of which Darren Clarke of Northern Ireland twice took home top honors. One of his favorite courses in the world, Clarke will be on hand to do battle with Rose and the hot Poulter.

With the U.S. Open just around the corner many of Europe's top players are entered in the Kemper Open, this week's PGA Tour stop.

Thomas Bjrn, Pierre Fulke, Paul McGinley, Colin Montgomerie, Phillip Price and Lee Westwood will join Clarke for the $459,219 top prize.

Spains Ignacio Garrido, who outlasted South Africa's Trevor Immelman in a sudden-death play-off at Wentworth Club to capture the Volvo PGA Championship two weeks ago, is also in the field along with seven other champions on this years European Tour schedule, including Arjun Atwal, Robert-Jan Derksen, Bradley Dredge, Kenneth Ferrie, Darren Fichardt and Fredrik Jacobson and Poulter.
