Golfing legend Paul Runyan is recuperating from surgery Wednesday on a broken kneecap, which resulted from a fall in his Palm Desert home.

At 92 years of age, Runyan is said to be in stable condition, but is expected to be out for four to six weeks for rehabilitation. He should, however, be able to return to the golf course shortly after this time.

Runyan, one of the great teachers of the game, is the winner of 24 PGA Tour titles, two of which have come at the PGA Championship.
