Seeded World Cup Teams Announced

RSS

The 18 seeded nations that will compete in the World Golf Championships-EMC World Cup have been announced, though countries have until Sept. 19 to commit. The event will be held Nov. 13-18 in Gotemba City, Japan.

Players qualify by their standings in the Official World Golf Ranking. Eighteen nations automatically qualify, and six more teams become eligible through the Davidoff Nations Cup Sept. 27-30.

Seedings of countries can change if the highest-ranked player does not commit. In that case, the next-highest player qualifies. If the team then falls out of the top 18, the news rankings will prevail predicated upon who commits.
