Sorenstam and Webb in Field for Kroger Classic

Following a recent stretch which has seen her lag a bit behind Australian Karrie Webb, five-time winner in 2001 Annika Sorenstam hopes to regain her focus this week at the Jamie Farr Kroger Classic.
Sorenstam began her year in a whirlwind of great golf, winning five of her first eight events of the year, and finishing runner-up twice.
Since, she has been absent from the winners circle, and has instead watched her friend and chief rival Webb collect the last two major championships, including the recent McDonalds LPGA Championship.
Sorenstam won this event last year in a playoff over Rachel Teske, so you can bet shell be gunning for the $150,000 first-place check this time around.
While last weeks winner Betsy King is not scheduled to play in Sylvania, Oh., quite a few of the big names on tour will. Besides Webb and Sorenstam, Grace Park is in the field, as is Beth Daniel, Kelli Kuehne and Se Ri Pak.
In addition, teenage sensations Aree and Naree Song Wongluekiet will compete this week at the Highland Meadows Golf Club.
At 6,365 yards and playing to a par of 71, Highland Meadows should provide a more-than-adequate challenge, as this event is contested over four days.
Last years winning score from Sorenstam was 14-under 274.
