Sorenstam Two Shots Back

STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) -- Annika Sorenstam was two shots behind the leader after Thursday's opening round of the HP Open, the first time since 1999 she is playing in her native city.
Spain's Raquel Carriedo was in front, shooting a 6-under-par 66 on the Drottningholm course near the Royal castle.
Sorenstam, who completed a career Grand Slam by winning last week's British Open, started and finished birdie-birdie on a course she has not played in 10 years. She had two bogeys in her 68.
'I'm pretty satisfied, but I played better than 4 under,' she said. 'I couldn't make some putts today. I blew two eagle chances. It would have been fun to have made one of them. I also had a few birdie putts that I should have made.'
Sorenstam, who won in southern Sweden last year when the tournament was called the Compaq Open, was tied with 11 others.
Carriedo is back on the Ladies European Tour after missing eight cuts in 13 LPGA events this year.
'I played very well,' said Carriedo, who had no bogeys. 'I'm especially happy with my putting, and twice I saved par from the bunker.'
Sweden's Sophie Gustafson, an LPGA Tour regular, was tied for second at 67 with Iben Tinning of Denmark and Marina Arruti of Spain. Former U.S. Open champions Liselotte Neumann of Sweden and Laura Davies of England each shot 69.
Sorenstam has had a few hectic days since her return from the British Open -- dinners with sponsors, news cw2157med-- r m BC-SARS-QuickListcode:5
