South Africa Forms Ladies Golf Tour

Players from the Ladies European Tour will have another country to play in this year. The South African Ladies Professional Golf Tour (LPGT), Nedbank and MasterCard have formed the Nedbank Ladies Tour to attract players to South Africa.
'All the elements for a successful tour are already in place and I'm confident that the Nedbank Ladies Tour will unearth a number of highly talented individuals in the next few seasons,' a tour spokesman said.
The 2001 season will consist of five events played on some of South Africa's best courses. The tour starts Feb. 21-23 with the Nedbank MasterCard Classic in Johannesburg and ends at Sun City with the Nedbank MasterCard SA Ladies Masters (March 23-25), an event co-sanctioned by the Evian Tour.
