Thursday Play Begins at The Masters


Players have teed off Thursday morning for the first round of The Masters Tournament in Augusta, Ga.
Legends Sam Snead and Byron Nelson hit the ceremonial opening tee shots, with this years edition being the last for Nelson's storied career.
As good weather is expected for the day and expected to continue throughout the weekend, excitement builds as Tiger Woods will try to become the first player ever to win four major championships in a row.
Woods took the 00 United States Open, the 00 British Open and the 00 PGA Championship. He finished T5 at the 00 edition of The Masters.
Woods tees off at 12:57pm ET with Mike Weir and Mikko Ilonen. Other notable pairings for the day would include the treesome of Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els and Thomas Bjorn at 10:34am ET, and Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player at 12:35pm ET.
Defending champion Vijay Singh heads out at 12:13pm ET. Masters champions Nick Faldo and Jose Maria Olazabal tee off at 9:39am ET and 12:24pm ET respectively.
