Ticket Sales Slow for Woods New Zealand Appearance

Tiger Woods, 2001 Grand Slam smileWhile world No. 1 Tiger Woods is making his inaugural appearance at the 2002 New Zealand Open on Jan. 10, tournament organizers are growing less optimistic as to the events expected patron draw.
A lot of them dont want the hassle of getting out there every day, said Graeme Croy, Secretary of the Duck Creek Golf Club.
Expected traffic delays and the fact that the tournament will be broadcast on television seem to be hindering ticket sales.
Ticket sales have been slower than we wanted, and where the weather is at people might be saying, Ill go along on the day, commented David Pool, the events director.
