Tryon May Compete in 02 Bob Hope

Along with Bryce Molder, Phillip Price and Paul Casey, highly-touted youngster Ty Tryon has been given a sponsors exemption to compete in the 2002 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic.
At 17, he could become the youngest professional to play in the events 43-year history, should he accept the invitation.
Tryon recently shook up the golf world by becoming the youngest player to ever make the PGA Tour at Qualifying School.
However, by rule, he cant join the tour full-time in 02 until his 18th birthday in June. In the meantime, the Bob Hope will count as one of seven events by which he can compete through sponsor exemptions.
