Twelve Gather for Golfs Richest Prize

Sunshine TourTwelve players from around the world will compete for the most lucrative first-place prize in golf in this weeks Nedbank Golf Challenge.
A check of $2 million is up for grabs for the winner at the Gary Player Country Club in Sun City, South Africa.
Sergio Garcia denied Ernie Els a three-peat last year. The two are among four past champions in the elite field. Nick Price is seeking his record fourth win in this event (1993, 97, 98). Colin Montgomerie, who has won each of his last two starts in Europe and Asia, is vying for his second title, having won previously in 1996.
First-time participants Chris DiMarco, Bob Estes and Robert Allenby join Padraig Harrington, Retief Goosen, Jim Furyk, Michael Campbell and Darren Clarke to round out the list.
Allenby decided to skip his title defense at this weeks Australian PGA in order to compete in $4.2 million Sun City event, where the last-place prize is more than first place Down Under.
