Two Share US Amateur Publinks Medalist Honors

17-year-old James Vargas and 22-year-old Nick Cassini shared medalist honors in the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship on Tuesday. The event is being held at the Pecan Valley Golf Club.
 
Vargas and Cassini matched 36-hole scores finishing two-under par. That was a stoke better than 19-year-old Adam Fuchs.
 
21-year old Erik Compton, whose recieved a heart transplant five years ago, and Jim Spagnolo were two back at even-par. Compton bogeyed two of his final three holes to miss out on medalist honors.
 
Sixty-four players advanced to match play which begins Wednesday. Here are the match-ups for round one of match play:
