Washington DC Event Has New Name


WASHINGTON, D.C. ' Booz Allen Hamilton, one of the world's largest consulting firms, signed a three-year agreement to serve as title sponsor of the PGA Tour's Washington, D.C. event. The tournament, formerly known as the Kemper Open, will be known as the Booz Allen Open.
To date, the tournament has distributed nearly $8 million to more than 150 local and national charities in the Washington, D.C. area.
The tournament, which this year had a tournament-record purse of $4.5 million, will continue to be managed by KemperSports Marketing, as it has for the past 25 years.
