Weir Wilson win Champions Challenge


LEHI, Utah (AP) -- Masters champion Mike Weir and Dean Wilson won the Champions Challenge on Tuesday in a three-team chip-off.
Mike WeirAfter one playoff hole failed to get a winner, a chip-off -- the closest shot to the pin from 80 yards would win -- was held and Weir landed his within 21/2 feet of the cup to give him and Wilson the title in Johnny Miller's annual two-man scramble event at Thanksgiving Point.
Weir and Wilson, the team of Andy Miller and Ty Tryon and the host and his son Todd Miller all finished with 58s. Tryon had a chance to win it on the final regulation hole, but his 14-foot birdie putt stopped just at the edge of the cup.
U.S. Open champion Jim Furyk and his father, Mike, finished with a 61.
