Woods Commits to Foreign Events


Tiger Woods has committed to a pair of international events. Woods will play the Dunlop Phoenix Open later this year, and the Dubai Desert Classic next March.
The Dunlop Phoenix is Nov. 21-24 at the Phoenix Country Club in Miyazaki, Japan. Woods has twice played in Japan. He tied for 15th in the 1998 Casio Open, and lost in a playoff with teammate David Duval in last years World Cup.
Woods tied for second in his lone Dubai appearance, in 2001. Woods led Thomas Bjorn by one stroke entering the final round at the Emirates Golf Club, but shot a Sunday 72 and finished two back of the Dane.
The 2003 Dubai Desert Classic is scheduled March 6-9.
