Woods to Skip Dubai Desert Classic

Tiger Woods will skip the Dubai Desert Classic, to be held at the Emirates Golf Club March 7-10.
Woods finished tied with Padraig Harrington for second place a year ago, behind winner Thomas Bjorn.
Bjorn will be back to defend his title. Seven former champions are in the field, including 1994 victor Ernie Els. Colin Montgomerie and Mark O'Meara are also scheduled to compete.
Seventeen-year-old Ty Tryon turned down a reported $1 million to play in the tournament, which is contested opposite the Honda Classic on the PGA Tour.
