Woods to Visit New Zealand in 2002

The New Zealand press has reported that World No. 1 Tiger Woods will be traveling to New Zealand in 2002 for a professional tournament to be hosted at the Parapararamu Beach Course.
The news came from Radio New Zealand, where Steve Williams (Woods' New Zealand-based caddie) made the statements that both he and Woods would be in attendance so long as sufficient finances were raised for the event.
Those finances include a $1.1 million appearance fee for Woods.
While exact details have not yet been released, the event is tentatively scheduled for Jan. 10-13 of 2002.
