The Big Break VII, scheduled to premiere Feb. 25, will feature Challenges from past seasons combined with new skills competitions. Flashbacks to unforgettable moments will set the stage as old wounds will be reopened and new rivalries created with twists and turns that have become a Big Break tradition.
Pitting highly skilled golfers against each other, The Big Break concept presents challenges that test physical skills and mental toughness. During The Big Break VII, competitors will be eliminated from the series, with the last one standing awarded their Big Break, an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete in an event on the PGA TOURs Champions Tour, Nationwide Tour or the LPGA Tour.
The Big Break is a tremendously popular and successful franchise for The Golf Channel, and were excited to be revisit some of the individuals who have contributed to the success and allowed the series to prosper each season, said Golf Channel Chief Executive Officer David Manougian.
Reunion Resort & Club will serve as the backdrop for all the action. The 2,300-acre Ginn Resort features three Signature golf courses designed by Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus. Various parts of Palmers Legacy course and Watsons Independence course will be featured in The Big Break VII.
The Big Break VI: Trump National finale will air Dec. 12 at 10 p.m. ET, where the winner will be crowned. Previous Big Break series have awarded winners chances to play on the Champions Tour, LPGA Tour, European, Nationwide and Canadian tours.
