bOrlando to Host Auditions for The Big Break IVb


ORLANDO, Fla. (April 20, 2005) ' Golfers looking for their Big Break will descend upon Shingle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Fla. on April 30, auditioning for a spot on the latest version of The Golf Channels popular reality show, The Big Break IV.
The Big Break IV is the fourth installment of the networks hit reality show that features highly skilled golfers competing to earn exemptions on professional tours. Contestants compete in a number of challenges testing their physical skills and mental toughness, with one golfer eliminated from the show each week. The last contestant standing is awarded his/her Big Break, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete in select professional tournaments.
While the auditions are by invitation only, qualified golfers interested in participating can still apply for the show by visiting The Golf Channel Web site at and clicking on The Big Break link.
Taping for The Big Break IV will be held in summer 2005 at a European location to be determined. The Big Break IV winner will receive exemptions to play in future select PGA European Tour events.
Previous Big Break winners include Justin Peters (The Big Break I) and Kip Henley III (The Big Break II). Henley will make his Nationwide Tour debut in May at the Henrico County Open in Richmond, Va., the first of six Nationwide Tour events hell play. The Big Break III: Ladies Only winner will be decided during the shows finale Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET, with the winner earning exemptions to play select LPGA Tour events.
