The Big Break All-Star Challenge will pit Rangers All-Star first baseman Mark Teixeira, along with teammates Kevin Mench, Mark DeRosa and Gerald Laird against each other in a special golf event for charity and bragging rights. Each participant will compete in a series of golf challenges based on the networks widely popular and successful The Big Break reality series - including the viewer-favorite glass breaking challenge and long-drive competition. Based upon individual performance, the contestants will receive equivalent cash awards to be donated to a charity of his choice.
Filmed in October at The Trophy Club of Dallas, Tuesdays The Big Break All-Star Challenge is a condensed version of the original The Big Break series, but with all the action packed into one hour. Contestants are eliminated throughout the competition, with a final pairing battling it out for the title at the end of the show.
Upcoming All-Star Challenges include matches with the Chicago White Sox, Hootie and the Blowfish and members of the 1972 Miami Dolphins. Episodes from the second season of The Big Break All-Star Challenge air Tuesday nights at 10:30 p.m. ET.
