Tip of the Week: Hit better shots when into the wind

RSS

If you asked the average golfer to play word association and pick the first word that came to their mind when it comes to the British Open, wind would be a popular answer.

High winds pose all sorts of challenges for players of all ability levels, but among the most difficult is playing directly into a strong headwind.

In this video segment, School of Golf host Martin Hall shares a tip that he got from three-time British Open winner Nick Faldo for more effective shots into the wind.

So take more club and slow your swing down. You’ll hit the ball more solid and flight it on a lower trajectory, which will help you play better shots on a windy day.
