It's not uncommon when watching professional golf to hear a touring pro plead for an errant appoach shot to find a greenside bunker.
That's because playing a sand shot around the greens can be much easier than playing from deep rough or an extremely tight lie, assuming, of course, that you know what you're doing.
Two-time Masters champion Bernhard Langer has always been considered an excellent bunker player, and in this video he's going to share with you his secret to more success from the sand.
The key, according to Langer, is to maintain consistent knee flex throughout the shot.
If you can do this, you'll improve your angle of attack and getting the ball up and down out of the sand will become a much easier task and one that's not to be feared.
