Tip of the Week: Use a broom to improve takeaway

RSS

If you’re looking to devote some time to one aspect of your swing this winter, the takeaway would be a great choice.

After all, if you get the club started on the proper path and plane going back, it will be much easier to build a golf swing that's repeatable and doesn’t require compensation moves to arrive at a good impact position.

In this video, Brad Brewer of the Brad Brewer Golf Academy has a great drill that you can work on at the practice range or at home to help improve your takeaway.

So grab a broom and work on sweeping the club away at the proper angle. If you can do that, you’ll be on your way to a better swing and more consistent ball-striking.
