Video: Eliminate a cast to generate more power

RSS

Power has become a big part of the modern game and every golfer is looking to add more distance to their game.

Ironically, however, in an effort to hit the ball farther many players actually do things in their swing that cost them distance.

One of the most notable of those issues is a cast, which feels like a powerful move but in reality is robbing you of valuable swing speed.

In this video segment, Brad Brewer shows you the split-grip drill to help you eliminate a cast and create a more powerful swing.

Try this out the next time you’re on the range and feel how the lag you create leads to more powerful ball-striking.
