Video: Improve your chipping by hitting your spots

RSS

Being a good chipper of the golf ball requires plenty of practice, but it also takes some imagination and the ability to execute a game plan.

In this video segment, six-time major champion Nick Faldo shares with you the best chipping tip he ever received, and it just so happened to have come in preparation for The Masters, an event he won three times.

The key is to utilize the proper setup and trap the ball to keep it low but still impart some spin. But above all else, you must picture the spot where you want the ball to land and hit that spot.

Work on this shot the next time you have a chance to practice and you’ll get the ball up and down more often the next time you play.
