Video: Rotate your shoulders to create more width

A key component to hitting powerful, accurate golf shots is a good shoulder turn and some width in your backswing.

Many higher handicappers, however, let their arms outrace their shoulders going back, and as SwingFix instructor Justin Bruton explains, that’s going to lead to a collapsed look at the top of your swing.

The key, according to Bruton, is to rotate your shoulders away from the ball, and he has a great drill to help you do just that.

And if you can improve your turn and create more width in your backswing, you’ll be able to generate more distance with relative ease.
