Video: Stabilize your lower body to make a better turn

RSS

One of the keys to making a good backswing is to have a stable lower body that supports a good turn of the torso and shoulders.

Many amateurs, however, tend to slide their lower body in the backswing because it feels like they’re getting behind the ball, but what it actually does is make it hard to turn properly.

In this video segment, former LPGA Tour player Charlotta Sorenstam has a simple yet effective drill that you can use to feel what it’s like to stabilize your lower body in your backswing.

Try this drill the next time you’re on the range or even at home and you’ll feel what it’s like to coil properly in your backswing.
