Video: Stop scooping chip shots around the green

RSS

A sound short game is the quickest way to lower your scores on the course, yet many average players struggle mightily around the greens.

Those struggles usually result from a lack of practice time devoted to the short game, as well as a lack of understanding about how to properly execute pitch shots and chip shots.

In this video segment, LPGA Hall of Famer Annika Sorenstam has a great drill to help you improve your chipping, and to most notably get rid of that scooping action that’s causing you to hit your chips shots inconsistently.

Try this drill the next time you practice and you’ll be on your way to getting up and down far more often.
